According to a PTI report, its CEO Peter Elbers said this on Friday. IndiGo’s other destinations include Amsterdam (Netherlands), Manchester (UK), Copenhagen (Denmark), Siem Reap (Cambodia) and four places in Central Asia.

According to the report, IndiGo will start operating direct flights from Mumbai to Manchester and Amsterdam with leased Boeing 787-9 aircraft in July and services to UK cities will also be the airline’s long-haul debut. At a briefing in the national capital, Elbers said there is a huge opportunity in Indian aviation, where growing demand is being supported by expanding infrastructure.
