Railways reduce the frequency of important trains every year during foggy times. Important trains like Varanasi Dehradun Janta Express also get cancelled. In Northern Railway Lucknow division, more than a dozen passenger trains including Lucknow Pratapgarh DMU are running canceled for four years.
Now Shramjeevi Express, The operating days of 13 pairs of special trains including Vaishali Express have been reduced from December 1 to February 28. Patna-Kota Express will run on the changed route. Train No. 03237 and 03239 Patna – Kota Express will run via the converted route Kanpur – Farrukhabad – Kasganj – Mathura – Achhnera – Bharatpur on all days except Fridays till 1st December, 28th February.
On the other hand, train number 03238 and 03240 Kota – Patna Express will reach Lucknow via Bharatpur – Achner – Mathura – Kasganj – Farrukhabad – Kanpur on other days except Saturday. The Railway Board has issued instructions to the Center for Railway Information System (CRIS) to reduce the frequency of trains.
