India Weather Forecast June 2025: The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rains in many states of the country for the next few days.

India Weather Forecast June 2025: The Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in many states across the country during the next 5–7 days. It has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rains (IMD Rainfall Alert) in East, West, North, South and North-East India. Red and orange alerts have also been imposed in many states. According to the department, light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds at a speed of 40-50 kmph are likely at most/many places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on June 20. At the same time, there will be continuous rain (Monsoon 2025 Update) and strong winds in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Gangetic plains of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha during June 20 to 25.

Possibility of heavy rainfall at different places (Heavy Rain in Jharkhand)

The Meteorological Department has predicted extremely heavy rainfall at different places in Jharkhand. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is likely at different places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during June 22 to 24, Gangetic West Bengal on June 22 and 25, Bihar till June 23, Jharkhand and Odisha till June 22, Madhya Pradesh till June 25. Whereas very heavy rainfall is likely in Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand on June 20, East Madhya Pradesh on June 21, Madhya Pradesh on June 24 and 25 and Chhattisgarh on June 20.

Possibility of extremely heavy rainfall

According to the department, light to moderate rainfall is likely at most or many places in Gujarat state, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada in West India till June 25. At the same time, extremely heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places in the Ghat areas of Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat region.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms at many or most places in Northeast India during the next 7 days.

Possibility of winds blowing at a speed of 40-50 kmph along with rain

According to the department, light or moderate rainfall may occur at most or many places in North-West India till June 24. There is also a possibility of rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds at the speed of 40-50 kmph.

Heavy rainfall is likely in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Rajasthan till June 25. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad on June 22 and 25, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab during June 21 to 25, Haryana and Chandigarh during June 20 to 25. Similarly, there is a possibility of very heavy rainfall in western Uttar Pradesh.

Possibility of rain in these states

According to the department, there may be rain in eastern Uttar Pradesh on 20 and 21, eastern Rajasthan till 23, Uttarakhand on 22, Himachal Pradesh on June 22 and 25. On the other hand, light to moderate rainfall with scattered thundershowers is expected at many or some places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe, Lakshadweep, Karnataka in South Peninsular India and rain is expected over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema and Telangana till June 23.
