IMD Rain Alert: Heavy to very heavy rains for 4 to 5 days for these states, IMD on high alert

The IMD has said that heavy to very heavy torrential rains are likely at one or two places in South 24 Parganas, Jhargram, East and West Medinipur, Bankura and Purulia districts on July 24 and 25. According to the Meteorological Department, due to the weather system, heavy rains are likely in the sub-Himalayan districts of Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar from July 26.

Meteorological Department issued alert for Odisha

Dr. Manorama Mohanty, Director, India Meteorological Department (IMD) Bhubaneswar said, “A low pressure area is likely to form over North Bay of Bengal. Due to its effect, heavy to very heavy rains with strong winds are likely in Odisha during the next 48 hours in districts like Nabarangpur, Koraput, Nuapada and Malkangiri. Most districts of the state are likely to receive light to moderate rains on July 24.”

Rain will continue in Delhi

It has been raining heavily in Delhi since Wednesday morning. Due to heavy rains, many areas got waterlogged. Due to this, traffic was also disrupted. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the rain will continue in Delhi-NCR.

Heavy rain expected in Telangana for the next three days
