IMD Rain Alert: Heavy rain in these states for seven days, wind speed at 70 to 100 kilometers, IMD update

Heavy Rain Warning: There is a possibility of heavy rain again in many states of the country in the coming days. The Meteorological Department estimates that heavy to very heavy rains may occur in Northeast India and South Peninsular India from June 10 onwards. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert. Along with rain, strong winds are also likely in many areas.

According to the IMD, heavy to very heavy rains are expected in Northeast India and South Peninsular India. Heavy rains have been continuing in many other areas including Northeast India for the last few days. In the last 24 hours, heavy rains have been recorded at different places in Assam, Meghalaya and Odisha.

Strong winds also blew at a speed of 60 to 100 kmph in many other areas including Madhya Pradesh. The Meteorological Department estimates that light to moderate rain may continue for the next three to four days. A period of heavy rain may start once again after June 10.

According to a report by Skymet Weather, a Cyclonic Circulation is formed over central Pakistan and adjoining northwest Rajasthan. Another cyclonic circulation is formed over Haryana.

A cyclonic circulation is also formed over North Bangladesh. At the same time, a trough line is formed from South Chhattisgarh to Northeast Bangladesh. Due to these seasonal activities, there may be a change in the weather in many areas.

According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain is expected at most places in Northeast India for the next 7 days. Heavy rain is expected at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya from June 10 to 13, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on June 7 and 11 and 13.

Light to moderate rain is likely at many places over Kerala, Mahe and coastal Karnataka for the next 7 days. Light to moderate rain is likely at isolated places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema and Karnataka during June 7 to 10 with thunderstorms and gusty winds with speed of 30 to 40 kmph.

Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe may receive heavy rains at isolated places on June 10-13, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema and interior Karnataka on June 11 to 13. Very heavy rain warning has been issued in Kerala and Mahe on June 13. Apart from this, very heavy rains are likely in Karnataka on June 12 and 13.

Light to moderate rain is likely at some places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim for the next 7 days. Rain and strong winds may occur in Madhya Pradesh on 7 and 8 June, Bihar on 7 to 9 June, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andaman and Nicobar Islands on 7-11 June, Gangetic West Bengal on 11 June.

There is a possibility of scattered light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and gusty winds with speed of 40 to 50 kmph during 11 to 13 June in Uttarakhand and East Uttar Pradesh.

Light to moderate rain is likely at isolated places in East Rajasthan on 7 and 8 June, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad on 11-13 June, Himachal Pradesh and Western Uttar Pradesh on 12 and 13 June, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi on 13 June.
