IMD Rain Alert: Heavy rain for 72 to 96 hours, fierce form of monsoon, IMD on high alert

Heavy Rain Alert: Many states of the country are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rains during the next four to five days. The Meteorological Department has predicted that heavy rains may occur in the western Himalayan region and eastern areas in the next 72 to 96 hours. Apart from this, heavy to very heavy rains are likely in Kerala, Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh.

Heavy Rain Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that heavy rains may occur in many areas from the next 72 to 96 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains may occur in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during the next 3 to 4 days.

According to the IMD, heavy rains may also occur in the Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand of the country during July 23 to 27. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms at many places.

According to the IMD, Kerala, Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh may receive heavy to very heavy rains for the next 5 to 5 days.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that in the coming days, heavy to very heavy rains are likely at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh, Kerala and Mahe, Konkan and Goa, Punjab, South Interior Karnataka and Uttarakhand.

At the same time, light to heavy rains may occur in many other states including Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat State, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Maharashtra, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir on July 22. The rain may continue in Punjab and Haryana till July 24.

Heavy to very heavy rains may occur at isolated places over Ghat areas of Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra till July 27. There is also a possibility of heavy rain in Gujarat state on 26th and 27th July.
