Rain Alert: Rain continues in Uttar Pradesh these days, but the speed of monsoon is now seen slowing down. According to the Meteorological Department, the intensity of heavy rain has reduced in most parts of the state. During the last 24 hours, moderate to heavy rains with thunder and lightning were recorded in many districts of eastern and western UP. However, there has been no very heavy rain anywhere. The Meteorological Department has informed that the process of rain will continue in the state for the time being. Heavy rain is expected in many districts on Tuesday as well. The department has issued a yellow alert for these districts and has appealed to the people to remain alert.
Possibility of heavy rain till July 14
According to the Regional Meteorological Center in Lucknow, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many districts from Western UP to Eastern UP today i.e. on July 9. During this time, there is also a possibility of lightning and thunder along with strong winds in many districts. IMD has issued an alert of heavy rain in both the divisions till July 14, which will give relief to the people of the state from the scorching heat.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding heavy rain in some districts of Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Banda, Chitrakoot, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi and Lalitpur districts today. There is a possibility of lightning in districts like Prayagraj, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Kanpur Dehat, Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Kanpur Nagar, Saharanpur, Etawah, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Auraiya, Bijnor, Amroha, Sambhal, Jalaun, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Hamirpur and Mahoba.
