Very Heavy Rain Warning: According to the Meteorological Department, due to the effect of pressure over north-west Madhya Pradesh and adjoining south-west Uttar Pradesh, heavy to very heavy rains are likely to continue in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan during the next 2 days. According to the IMD, heavy to very heavy rains are likely to continue in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu during the next 6 to 7 days. The Meteorological Department has predicted strong winds at a speed of 40 to 50 kmph in northern Madhya Pradesh and adjoining western Uttar Pradesh and eastern Rajasthan during this period, which can increase to 60 kmph.
Very Heavy Rain Warning: Monsoon is fully active across the country. Heavy rains are occurring in many parts of South Indian states, especially Kerala, Karnataka and Goa. IMD has issued a red alert for some other areas including Wayanad, Kannur in Kerala. Apart from this, rain continues in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir.
Heavy rains continue in many areas of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. The deep low pressure area formed around Bihar-Jharkhand has now turned into a depression moving towards west-northwest direction.

Heavy rains are likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Marathwada, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, North Interior Karnataka, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Telangana and Uttarakhand.
Extremely heavy rains are likely at isolated places over Uttarakhand on 20 and 21 July. According to the Meteorological Department, 21 cm of rain may occur in the state.
Heavy rains are likely over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand till 24 July. At the same time, heavy rains may occur over Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan during 20 to 23 July.
Heavy rains may occur over Konkan and Goa, Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra till 24 July, Marathwada, North Gujarat on 18 July. Heavy to very heavy rains are likely over Konkan and Goa on 20, 21, 24 July.
