According to IMD, a yellow alert has been issued in both western and eastern areas of UP on Tuesday, July 15. During this, heavy rain can be seen in many places of eastern UP, while drizzle will be seen in some places of western UP. Apart from this, there is also a possibility of lightning along with the thunder of clouds.
Heavy rain expected in these districts
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain on Tuesday in Sant Ravidas Nagar, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chandauli, Mirzapur and surrounding areas including Sonbhadra. During this time, there is also a possibility of lightning in the areas around Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Ambedkar Nagar, Mahoba, Lalitpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Sonbhadra, Siddharth Nagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in different parts of the state between July 16 and 18. Extremely heavy rain may also occur in some areas of Purvanchal on July 17. The effect of rain is expected to intensify in many districts including Lucknow from Wednesday, due to which moderate rain can be recorded. However, the intensity of rain may decrease after July 19. On July 20, there is a possibility of light rain or thundershowers at some places in western Uttar Pradesh, while rain may continue at many places in the eastern parts.
