Heavy Rain Alert: Many North Indian states including Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh are in bad condition due to heat. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rains in the south and north-eastern states. A new weather system is becoming active over the Arabian Sea. Heavy rains may occur in many states including Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh in the next few days. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains, thunderstorms and thunderstorms in these states between May 20 and May 23.
A cyclonic circle of upper air is likely to form in the central-eastern part of the Arabian Sea in the area adjacent to the Karnataka coast around May 21. According to the Meteorological Department, due to its effect, a low pressure area is expected to form on May 22, which may become more intense later.
Torrential rain in these states
According to the Meteorological Department, the new weather system due to the cyclone is likely to cause rain in South Indian states. There is a warning of rain and thunderstorms in Bengaluru till May 22. A yellow alert has been issued here. An orange alert has been issued in the state of Kerala. Heavy rains, strong winds and thunderstorms may continue till May 24. Heavy rain warning has been issued in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal till May 20. Heavy rains are forecast in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana till May 20.
Apart from this, heavy rains are likely at different places in Arunachal Pradesh in the northeastern states from May 18 to 20. Heavy to very heavy rain warning has been issued in Assam and Meghalaya from May 18 to 24. Heavy rains are forecast in Tripura and Nagaland on May 18.
The Meteorological Department says that heavy rains are also expected in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Pre-monsoon showers will continue in Gujarat till May 23 and this time the monsoon may arrive before June 15. Due to this weather disturbance arising from the Arabian Sea, the IMD has advised people living near the coast to remain alert and follow the warnings of the Meteorological Department.
Weather of Delhi, Haryana, UP and Bihar
The Meteorological Department says that the weather will remain mainly dry and clear in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttarakhand for the next five days. There is no possibility of heavy rain or thunderstorm at present. There may be slight fluctuations in temperature, but the weather will remain normal.
