Heavy Rain Warning: In the coming 48 hours, many parts of the country may see a fierce form of weather. The India Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rains in the northeastern states for the next two days. According to the IMD, there may be alternating rains with strong winds in the northeastern states in the next 48 hours. The department said that after this the intensity of rain may decrease. According to the IMD, heat wave is likely to prevail in Gangetic West Bengal from 3 to 4 June and in Odisha from 3-6 June. Rains and stormy winds are likely to continue in northwest India during the next 2 days with thunder.

According to a report by Skymet Weather, a western disturbance is active as a cyclonic circulation at an altitude of 3.1 to 7.6 km over northern Pakistan and adjoining Jammu region. A cyclonic circulation remains over northwest Uttar Pradesh, extending up to a height of 1.5 km above sea level. A trough line extends from eastern Uttar Pradesh to northeast Assam, passing through central parts of Bihar, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Assam. It is located at an altitude of 0.9 km. Due to this, the weather continues to change in many areas.

Light to moderate rain is likely to continue at most places in Northeast India during the next 7 days. Heavy rainfall may occur at some places till June 5. Very heavy rain is likely at some places in Assam and Meghalaya on May 4.
Weather of North-West India
Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds with speed of 40 to 50 kmph are likely at many places over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi.
Light to moderate rain may occur at some places over Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan on 4th June.
Steamy winds with speed of 50 to 60 kmph gusting to 70 kmph are likely over Himachal Pradesh on 4th June.

Light to moderate rain is likely to continue at most places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 7 days, heavy rain may occur at some places on 4th June.
Thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds with speed of 40 to 50 kmph are likely over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh till 7th June. Strong winds with speeds of 50 to 60 kmph are likely over Bihar, West Madhya Pradesh on June 4 and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on June 4.

On June 4, light to moderate rain may occur at many places over Kerala and Mahe, Coastal Karnataka.
