IMD Rain Alert: Today, light to moderate rains may occur in West Bengal, parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, North Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, North Rajasthan, parts of Punjab, Haryana, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala, with heavy rains at some places.
IMD Rain Alert: The series of monsoon rains continues across the country. Rains are wreaking havoc in many states from Uttarakhand, Rajasthan to Madhya Pradesh. However, there are many states where there is a lack of rain. It is raining in Delhi with a break of one or two days. The situation in most areas of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar is also similar. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of rain, thunder and lightning in some states for seven days.
Possibility of rain, thunder and lightning for the next 7 days
According to the latest forecast of IMD, there is an alert of heavy rain at different places in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh on July 21. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Rajasthan till July 17. Apart from this, very heavy rain is expected in Uttarakhand from July 17 to July 21, in eastern Uttar Pradesh on July 17. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms, lightning at many places in the western Himalayan region and plains for the next 7 days.

Talking about the weather today (July 16), according to Skymet, light to moderate rain may occur in West Bengal, parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, North Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, North Rajasthan, parts of Punjab, Haryana, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala with heavy rain at some places.
Light to moderate rain is possible in Sikkim, Northeast India, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, North Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, East Rajasthan, Gujarat region, Madhya Maharashtra, parts of Vidarbha and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Light rain may also occur in Marathwada, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Rajasthan and Saurashtra and Kutch.
