IMD Rainfall Alert, Weather Update 8 June: Even though there is severe heat in North India, the period of rain continues in South India. From the day after tomorrow i.e. June 10, a warning of very heavy rain has been issued in many states of South India including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala. In such a situation, people living in these states need to be careful. On the other hand, talking about North India, heatwave is going to continue in western Rajasthan from 8-11 June and in other states of North West except Himachal and Uttarakhand for the next four days.
According to the Meteorological Department, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya will receive very heavy rainfall on June 11-14, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura on June 10-13. Talking about South India, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe will receive very heavy rainfall on June 10-14, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema on June 11-14, Lakshadweep on June 13 and 14. Apart from this, strong winds are expected in the areas of interior Karnataka on June 12.
Talking about eastern and central India, Andaman and Nicobar, Odisha will receive light to moderate rainfall on June 8-12, Madhya Pradesh on June 8 and 9, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal on June 11 and 12, Bihar, Jharkhand on June 11-14. Strong winds are expected in Bihar and Vidarbha on June 11, 12.
Talking about northwest India, light to moderate rain may occur in Uttarakhand, eastern Uttar Pradesh on June 11-14, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, western Uttar Pradesh on June 13 and 14 and Punjab on June 14. However, heat will also persist during this period. Apart from this, an alert for heavy rain has been issued in Uttarakhand between June 12-14.
Strong winds likely in Delhi
Strong winds are likely to blow in the national capital during the day on Sunday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) gave this information. According to the IMD, the maximum temperature in Delhi on Saturday was recorded at 40 degrees Celsius, which is 0.2 degrees below the average for this season. The minimum temperature on Saturday was recorded at 26.3 degrees Celsius, which is 0.1 degrees below the average for the season. The relative humidity level at 5.30 pm was 43 percent. The Meteorological Department has predicted clear skies and strong winds on Sunday.
