IMD Issues High Alert: These States to Face Heavy Rain Tomorrow and Beyond

Tomorrow’s weather forecast: Rainfall activities are likely to decrease in Jammu and Kashmir. However, heavy rains may occur in some parts of North-West India for the next 6-7 days.

According to the Meteorological Department, apart from Bihar and Jharkhand, there may be rain in many states. Know how the weather is going to be on 29 August 2025.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected at many places in Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim from 29 to 30 August. Heavy rains may occur in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Kerala, Mahe and Tamil Nadu till 29 August. Heavy rains may occur at many places in coastal Karnataka from 29 August to 2 September.

Clouds will remain in Bihar

According to the Meteorological Center Patna, most parts of Bihar will remain cloudy on Friday. Light to moderate rain may be seen at some places. This type of weather is forecast till September 1. Heavy rain may occur at some places in Bihar from August 30 to September 1.

Heavy rain expected in Jharkhand

There is a possibility of rain with strong winds and thunderstorms in the remaining 20 districts of Jharkhand on Thursday except Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra and Latehar . Ranchi will remain cloudy throughout the day and light rain may occur in the afternoon. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain may start again from August 29, during which there is also a possibility of thunderstorms. A yellow alert has been issued for this and people have been advised to remain alert.

Chances of rain in Rajasthan

Monsoon rains are continuing in Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Center, due to the low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal near the Odisha coast, light to moderate rain is expected in some parts of the state on Thursday and moderate to heavy rain at some places in the southern parts. Rain activities may increase in South East Rajasthan from 29-30 August. The center said that during this period, there will be heavy rain at some places in Kota, Udaipur division, some parts of Jodhpur, Bikaner division are also expected to receive moderate to heavy rain at some places during 29 to 31 August.

Apart from Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, there will be heavy rain here

Heavy rains are expected at many places in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana for the next 7 days. Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab may receive heavy rains at some places from August 30 to September 1. Heavy rains are expected in Uttar Pradesh between September 1 and 2. Very heavy rains may occur at some places in Uttarakhand on August 29 as well as on September 1 and 2.

Chances of rain in northeastern states

Heavy rain is expected at some places in Arunachal Pradesh from 29 to 30 August. Heavy rain is expected at different places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura for the next 7 days.
