The weather in Madhya Pradesh has taken a turn once again in the final days of October. On Thursday, October 30th, the sky will be overcast across the state. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for rain and strong winds in several districts.
Rain is expected to continue today, especially in the eastern parts. Light to moderate rain is expected in the districts of Narmadapuram and Jabalpur divisions. Meanwhile, strong winds may blow throughout the day in Bhopal, Indore, and Ujjain, leading to a drop in temperatures and a feeling of coolness.
Effect of the system of Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal
According to a senior meteorologist, a depression system in the Arabian Sea and an active deep depression in the Bay of Bengal are currently affecting the state’s weather. Additionally, a cyclonic circulation is active over North India. The combined effects of these three weather systems will affect approximately a quarter of the state. The eastern and southern districts will be most affected, where the rain system will be stronger.
Heavy rain warning in these 12 districts
Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in many areas of the state over the next 24 hours. The Meteorological Department has issued a special warning for 12 districts, where rainfall of 2.5 to 4.5 inches is expected. These include Satna, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, Singrauli, Maihar, Umaria, Shahdol, Anuppur, Dindori, Mandla, and Balaghat.
