IMD Alert: Heavy rain alert in these 15 states till August 17, Yellow-orange alert issued, know complete details

According to the Meteorological Department, the period of heavy rains will continue in many states till August 15. Meanwhile, this year, the maximum effect of monsoon has been seen in South India including the Mid-West.



Due to the active monsoon, there is a situation of heavy rains in many states of the country. Rain alert continues in the eastern and western states, while a red alert has been issued in the southern states. There is a possibility of heavy rain in many areas of Central India in the next few days. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD Alert), active monsoon conditions will be seen over the central parts of India during the next five days. According to the Meteorological Department, the period of heavy rains will continue in many states till August 15. Meanwhile, this year, the maximum effect of monsoon has been seen in South India including the Mid-West.

However, this time the monsoon has not shown much effect in North India and agricultural land. States like UP, Bihar, Jharkhand including West Bengal are facing deficient monsoon. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in many states today. According to the Meteorological Department , an orange and yellow alert has been issued for heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka today. Apart from this, Pune, Himachal, Kangra, Mandi will see a period of rain.

Five cyclonic systems have become active in the country due to a trough coming from Bay of Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir including Arabian Sea . At the same time, a low pressure area is being formed over the sea in Rajasthan . It is expected to become more widespread in 48 hours. After which heavy rains can be seen in many states. There is a possibility of rain in the northeastern and eastern states till August 15 . In the next few days , severe rain is expected over areas of South India especially Karnataka and Coastal Andhra Pradesh .

There is a possibility of thunderstorm or lightning in Karnataka on 12th August . They are likely to strike in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on August 13 and 14 . Widespread rain with isolated heavy rain and lightning over Gangetic West Bengal on 14th August, Jharkhand on 12th August, 13th and 14th August, Odisha on 12th and 13th August , Arunachal Pradesh on 13th and 14th August, Assam and Meghalaya on 13th and 15th August And in 2022, very heavy rainfall is also likely over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on 12th and 15th August , Odisha on 13th and 14th August .

In fact, in the next two to three days, light rain is expected over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Northeast states . The Monsoon Trough is active and lies southwester than normal. It is likely to be active in the coming days. Here in Central India, there is a possibility of heavy rain and thundershower in East Madhya Pradesh on August 12 and 14, in West Madhya Pradesh on August 11 and 12, in Chhattisgarh on August 13.

On Friday, an orange alert has been issued for Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Himachal while heavy rain warning has been issued in Satara Ratnagiri, Raigad, Parganas districts of Maharashtra . Heavy rains are also going to continue in Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka . The capital Bhopal will see rain while yellow alert has been issued in other districts. Apart from this, heavy rains will also be seen in Kerala, Karnataka .

There is also a possibility of rain in Mumbai today. However, no alert has been issued for this. Light to moderate rain has been predicted for Punjab and Haryana , IMD has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in Udaipur, Dungarpur Banswara. Talking about UP , rain has stopped in most parts, while in the southern part of UP , there is a possibility of rain in the middle today. For this a yellow alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department.

After 15th August in Uttar Pradesh, there may be a spell of rain. Talking about the North-East region, there is a possibility of widespread heavy rain in West Bengal on August 14. On the other hand, rain alert has been issued in Jharkhand on 13th, 14th, 15th, while Odisha will see rain from 13th to 15th August.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura including North Bay of Bengal and Arunachal Pradesh till August 17. Let us inform that around August 13, a low pressure area has been predicted over the North Bay of Bengal. It is very likely to intensify further and move west-northwestwards during 24 hours. Due to which the rainy season will be seen.
