Students will complete the CA course six months in advance due to early admission and become a Chartered Accountant
ICAI New Rule. According to the new rules, students (CA Students) will now be able to temporarily get admission in the foundation course of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India only after passing the Class 10 exams. However, temporary admission will be regularized only after the candidate passes the class 12th examination. The new rules will enable the students to become a Chartered Accountant i.e. six months ahead of the present time.
ICAI President Atul Kumar Gupta told news agency PTI that the institute recently received government approval to amend Rules 25E, 25F and 28F of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988 (Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988). , Which enables the candidate to be temporarily registered in the foundation course of ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) after passing the class 10th examination. However, temporary admission to the course will be regular only on the basis of the candidate passing the 12th examination.
Gupta said that the basic purpose behind this proposal is to allow students to temporarily register in the foundation course after passing the Class 10 examination. He said that this will help the students prepare for the foundation course while doing classes 11th and 12th. Thus students will have ample time to update their knowledge and acquire the requisite technology to sit for and pass the CA Foundation course. ICAI also provides free online classes for foundation students which can be taken anytime, anywhere.
Gupta said that students can register themselves for the CA Foundation course after passing the Class 10 examination, hence giving them more time for the development, understanding and preparation of the vocational course. Students pursuing classes 11 and 12 will be able to complete a four-month study period and appear in the foundation exam in May or June, immediately after appearing in the class 12 examination. According to the new ICAI rules, students will complete the CA course six months in advance and become chartered accountants due to early admission.
