IB Vacancy: Tomorrow, November 16th, is the deadline to apply for 258 Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-2/Tech positions in the Intelligence Bureau (IB).
This includes 90 Computer Science and IT positions and 168 Electronics and Communications positions. Interested and eligible candidates can apply by visiting mha.gov.in.
Ability
BE/BTech degree in Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunications/Electronics & Communications/Electrical & Electronics/Information Technology/Computer Science/Computer Science & Engineering or MCA degree. Must have obtained qualifying cutoff marks in GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2023/2024/2025. Of the total vacancies in this new Intelligence Bureau recruitment, 114 posts are unreserved. 21 posts are reserved for EWS, 68 for OBC, 37 for SC and 18 for ST category. Only candidates with valid GATE 2023, 2024 or 2025 scores will be eligible to apply.

Educational qualification –
Candidates must have secured the qualifying cut-off marks in GATE 2023 or 2024 or 2025 in Electronics & Communication (GATE Code: EC) or Computer Science & Information Technology (GATE Code: CS), along with:
i. BE or B.Tech in the field of Electronics or Electronics & Telecommunication or Electronics & Communication or Electrical & Electronics or Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Science & Engineering;
Or
ii. Master’s degree in Science with Electronics or Computer Science or Electronics with Physics or Electronics & Communication; or Master’s degree in Computer Applications.
Age Limit: 18 to 27 years. SC and ST categories will be given a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit, and OBC categories will get a relaxation of 3 years.
Salary – Level 7 (Rs 44,900 – 1,42,400)
Selection: Candidates 10 times the total number of vacancies will be shortlisted based on their GATE score, followed by a skill test and interview.
