Process of updating mobile number in Aadhaar
- First of all go to https://uidai.gov.in.
- Open ‘Self Service Update Portal (SSUP)’.
- Enter the number you want to link to Aadhaar.
- Click on ‘Send OTP’. Complete the verification by entering the OTP.
- Go to ‘Online Aadhaar Services’ and select ‘Mobile Number Update’ option.
- Enter the new mobile number and do captcha verification.
- An OTP will be sent to your new mobile number, enter it and confirm.
- After verification, click on ‘Save and Proceed’.
- After this, you will have to take an appointment at the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra.
- Go to the Aadhaar Seva Kendra and get biometric authentication done and pay the prescribed fee.
