How to turn off UPI autopay in Paytm, PhonePe and GPay, learn the easy way

UPI has made digital payments incredibly easy. UPI apps also offer users the AutoPay feature, allowing them to automate payments for bills, subscriptions, and recharges. This feature automatically makes payments at a set time each month. However, sometimes we want to disable the AutoPay feature after enabling it. In such cases, disabling it is essential.

If you use AutoPay in UPI apps like Paytm, PhonePe, or Google Pay, here’s how to pause or cancel the AutoPay feature in these three apps. This allows users to easily control their auto-debit payments.

How to turn off UPI AutoPay on Paytm?

Step 1 – First, open the Paytm app.

Step 2 – Go to Profile and tap the Automatic Payments option.

Step 3 – Here, you’ll see a list of all active autopayments.

Step 4 – Select the autopayment you want to stop. Scrolling down a bit will reveal the option to ‘Pause’ or ‘Stop.’

This way, you can temporarily pause or completely stop any auto-debit payments running on the Paytm app.

How to turn off UPI AutoPay on PhonePe

Step 1 – First, open the PhonePe app.

Step 2 – Go to your profile and tap the Manage Payments option.

Step 3 – Click the Autopay option and you’ll see all your active AutoPay Mandates.

Step 4 – Select the auto-payment you want to stop and pause it.

How to turn off UPI AutoPay on GPay?

Step 1 – First, open the Google Pay app on your phone.

Step 2 – Go to your profile and click on the Autopay option.

Step 3 – Click on the Live tab to see all active AutoPay mandates.

Step 4 – Select the one you want to disable. Here, you’ll find the options to Pause Autopay and Cancel Autopay.

Select “Pause Autopay” to temporarily pause Autopay. Select “Cancel Autopay” to completely stop Autopay.
