UP: In the cabinet meeting of the Uttar Pradesh government, many important decisions were taken for outsourced employees. The recruitment of outsourced employees will be for three years and their salary has also been increased.
There is good news for outsourced employees working in Uttar Pradesh. The state government has increased the honorarium by Rs 4000, increasing it from Rs 16000 to Rs 20000 per month. Along with this, an assistance amount of Rs 15000 will also be given in case of death of an outsourced employee. After increasing the salary of employees by Rs 4000, now they will get Rs 48000 more salary in a year.
In the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of CM Yogi Adityanath, approval was also given to improve the service conditions of outsourced employees. Along with this, approval was also given to increase reservation in the appointments of employees.
Let us tell you that the services of outsourced employees of government departments and institutions are managed through Uttar Pradesh Outsourcing Service Corporation, which is a non-financial, non-profit public company constituted under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013.
Selection of service providers from e-marketplace portal
State Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna, while informing journalists about the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, approved the proposal to improve the service conditions of outsourced employees. He said that the corporation will select service providers through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal. He further said that outsourced employees will be appointed for 26 working days per month, they will get honorarium between the first and fifth of every month and their appointment period will be three years.
15000 rupees will be available on the death of the employee
Khanna said that if an employee dies during service, Rs 15,000 will be given for the last rites. He further said that this reservation will be applicable for SC/ST, OBC, ex-servicemen, freedom fighters’ dependents, Divyaangjan and women in outsourcing based appointments.
Khanna said, “Till now, the amount paid as honorarium or salary was deposited in the account of the service provider, due to which there were complaints that the employees were not getting their full salary.” He further said, “The aim of the government is to ensure that the outsourced employees get respectable salary, better service conditions and benefits of reservation.
