Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has started to roll out Android 10-based EMUI 10 update to Honor 20i smartphone. The update adds December 2019 Android security patch along with other features of the EMUI 10. The smartphone was launched in June 2019 with Android 9-based Magic UI.

Huawei has introduced ‘Morandi Color’ in the new EMUI 10 interface. This is inspired by Giorgio Morandi art style which is reflected in the new colours in EMUI 10. The key design elements of EMUI 10 are Magazine Design, Morandi Color, Dark Mode and Animation. ‘Magazine Design’ enables on-screen content to be seamlessly curated into an attractive and engaging design style, similar to a magazine. This change can be seen in the ‘Highlights’ section of the Gallery app.

Huawei has introduced an improved Dark Mode which allow users to choose light intensities from four available options. Huawei claims to not just reverse the colour while changing from normal mode to dark mode and instead the UI optimises the colors of text, images and on-screen icons to provide the best experience in a variety of different light levels and environments.

The Honor 20i smartphone comes equipped with a 6.21-inch full HD+ display. It has a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080p pixels, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone offers a 2.5D curved glass display.

On the camera front, the Honor 20i buyers will get a triple-lens camera at the back. This consists of a 24MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, a 2MP secondary rear camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera with LED flash. For selfies, the handset boasts of a 32MP front-facing camera.

The smartphone is powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 710 octa-core processor with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU processor. The Honor 20i packs 4GB RAM paired with 128GB internal storage which can be expanded further.
