Actually, automobile company Hero MotoCorp has added a new top-spec disc variant to its Passion Plus. It is priced at ₹84,128 (ex-showroom) and is the most feature-rich and expensive Passion Plus model till date. The company has launched this new variant with a front disc brake and a Bluetooth-enabled digital console. Hero Passion Plus Disc Variant: What’s new?
The biggest change in this new model is the addition of a front disc brake, a first for a Hero bike. Until now, the Passion Plus only offered a drum brake option. Therefore, this new variant improves braking performance for riders who frequently drive in heavy city traffic or occasionally take to the highway.
In terms of upgrades, Hero hasn’t just improved the braking. The company has also provided a new fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth support. This feature allows riders to stay connected through call and SMS notifications. In addition to connectivity, the display also provides daily information such as real-time fuel efficiency, service alerts, and fuel level information. In addition to these new features, the Passion Plus retains the same features as before.
Hero Passion Plus Disc Variant: Engine and Mileage
This new variant is powered by the same 97.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8 hp and 8.05 Nm of torque. It’s paired with a 4-speed gearbox. The bike is said to return a fuel efficiency of 71 km/l, making it one of the most affordable motorcycles in the entry-level commuter segment. It also features telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers.

The recently launched Hero Passion Plus disc variant is priced at ₹84,128 (ex-showroom). The standard drum brake variant is priced at ₹80,328. The Passion Plus 125 Million Edition is priced at ₹80,574. If you want better braking performance and additional connectivity features, you’ll have to spend approximately ₹3,800 more for this new flagship variant.
