South Korean smartphone maker Samsung will reportedly launch S10 Lite in India on January 23. The device has already been listed on Flipkart and will be powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor paired with 8GB RAM. In the last few years, this will be the first Galaxy S series smartphone to feature a Snapdragon processor.

The key feature of the smartphone, as highlighted by Samsung, is the camera that the company is publicising as a “Pro-grade” one. The Samsung S10 Lite comes equipped with a triple rear camera setup comprising a 48MP primary sensor with Super Steady OIS, a 12MP ultra wide angle sensor and a 5MP macro lens. One much-touted camera feature is Live Focus that lets the user add special effects to photos and videos in real-time. At the front, the smartphone has a 32MP selfie shooter. These are the confirmed specifications of the phone, as per the Flipkart page.

The device may sport a 6.7 inch FHD+ Infinity-O Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and is expected to run Android 10-based Samsung’s One UI. As one RAM variant of the device has already been confirmed, the other one may be a 6GB one, considering this is the pared-down flagship of Samsung S10 series. The smartphone is expected to come with 1TB of storage and a 4500mAh battery with fast charging support.

Samsung recently confirmed that its upcoming flagship series of smartphones will be launched under the moniker of S20, instead of S11. Rumours about the newly confirmed name had begun circulating long before the official announcement. The new flagship series will launch on February 11 at the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco. Also, the company’s next foldable phone is reportedly going to be named as Galaxy Bloom, instead of being called Galaxy Fold 2.
