Henley Passport Index 2025: According to the Henley Passport Index 2025, many countries in Europe have also maintained their strong position. Seven EU countries, including Germany, France and Italy, are now ranked third with visa-free travel facility in 189 countries.

Henley Passport Index 2025: India has made a big leap in the Henley Passport Index 2025. This time India has climbed eight places from 85th to 77th position. This jump has been seen in just six months. Now Indian passport holders can travel to 59 countries of the world without visa or with visa on arrival. This number is two countries more than in January. At the same time, Singapore tops the list of the most powerful passports in the world, whose citizens can travel to 193 countries without a visa. Japan and South Korea are jointly ranked second with visa-free access to 190 countries.

Passport of these countries became even stronger

According to the Henley Passport Index 2025, many countries in Europe have also maintained their strong position. Seven EU countries, including Germany, France and Italy, are now ranked third with visa-free travel facility in 189 countries. On the other hand, passport strength has also increased in the Gulf countries. The United Arab Emirates has made tremendous improvement in the last ten years, jumping 34 places and now reaches number 8. Its citizens can now travel visa-free to 183 countries. Countries like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman have also got more visa freedom, especially due to the new visa arrangement with China.

Decline in the ranking of America and Britain

On the other hand, the passport strength of America and Britain continues to decline. These countries, once considered to have the most powerful passports in the world, have now reached 10th and 6th place respectively. Experts say that the risk of America falling out of the top-10 is now even greater. While the passport rankings of many countries have improved over the past ten years, only 16 countries have seen a decline. The biggest drop was recorded in Venezuela, which fell 15 places from 30th to 45th. It is followed by the US (8 places down), Vanuatu (6 places down), the UK (5 places down) and Canada (4 places down).

Henley Passport Index 2025

According to the Henley Passport Index 2025 report, as emerging countries like India are easing their visa policies and focusing on strengthening relations with foreign countries, old powerful countries like the US and the UK are now adopting more stringent entry rules. This is also affecting their passport rankings.
