Eligible women get Rs 1500 every month

Aditi Tatkare informed that on the instructions of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, the last date for getting e-KYC done under the ‘Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Behin Yojana’ has been extended from 18th November to 31st December. Let us tell you that Ladki Behin Yojana, launched by the Maharashtra government in July last year, is a major scheme of the state. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 1500 is provided every month to women between 21 to 65 years of age, whose annual family income is less than Rs 2.5 lakh. More than 2.3 crore beneficiary women of Maharashtra are registered under this scheme.

E-KYC was made mandatory in September

Under the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Behen Yojana, an amount of Rs 1,500 is transferred directly to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries. The Maharashtra government made e-KYC mandatory for the scheme in September this year, giving beneficiaries ample time to complete the process, and a government resolution was also issued in this regard. Aditi Tatkare, in a post on X earlier this month, said that the scheme, launched as a social and economic empowerment initiative for women, is receiving widespread support and trust in the state.
