As per the order of the Chhattisgarh government, the dearness relief of pensioners under the seventh pay scale has increased to 53 percent from March 2025, while according to the sixth pay scale, this relief will be 246 percent.
CG Pensioners DR Hike 2025: There is good news for the pensioners of Chhattisgarh. After Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, now the Vishnu Sai government of the state has revised the rates of dearness relief of pensioners. The Chhattisgarh government has increased the dearness relief of pensioners availing the seventh pay scale by 3% and the dearness relief of pensioners of the sixth pay scale by 7%. The Finance Department has also issued an order in this regard.
The Vishnu Sai government of Chhattisgarh has issued an order to increase the rate of dearness relief of pensioners of the state, after which now the pensioners coming under the seventh pay scale will get 53% dearness relief instead of 50 and the pensioners coming under the sixth pay scale will get the benefit of 246 percent DR instead of 239%. These new rates will be applicable from March 1, 2025, so the arrears of March April will be available in June along with the pension of May.
Additional dearness relief will also be available
The state government has clarified that additional dearness relief will also be given to old pensioners as per the prescribed rules. Also, the amount of partially given allowances will be adjusted in the next payment. A letter has been issued from the Finance Department, Ministry to all the departments of the government, Chairman Revenue Board Bilaspur, all department heads, divisional commissioners and collectors regarding dearness relief.
