The EPFO, protecting the elderly population from Kovid-19 epidemic and Corona virus, has extended the deadline for submission of life certificate (Life Certificate-JPP) till 28 February 2021 in respect of pensioners getting pension under EPS 1995 and whose Life certificate remains in any month till 28 February 2021. Currently a pensioner can submit JPP at any time till 30 November, valid for a period of one year from the date of issue.
All such pensioners can submit a life certificate by 28 February 2021. There are several methods for submitting JPP including 3.65 lakh Common Service Centers (CSCs), 1.36 lakh post office branches of pension disbursing banks, 1.90 lakh postmen under postal department and postal network of Gramin Dak Sevaks which can be availed by pensioners is.

Pensioners can use the link to locate the nearest CSC (https://locator.csccloud.in/) and the link to request online at post offices to deposit the JPP comfortably at their home or elsewhere (http : //ccc.cept.gov.in/covid/request.aspx).
Union Labor and Employment Minister Shri Santosh Gangwar lauded the efforts of EPFO, saying that the organization has done a commendable job to help pensioners with simplifying procedures and speeding up the Digital India campaign and submitting life certificates The deadline has been extended to 28 February 2021. The move will benefit 35 lakh pensioners of EPFO.
During this extended period, the pension of 35 lakh pensioners who could not deposit the JPP during November 2020 will not be discontinued.
