Good news for employees! Bumper increase in these allowances, arrears will also be paid, amount up to Rs 46,800 will come in the account

For the employees of Tata Steel, the company has increased the rates of LTC and TA-DA. LTC has increased from Rs 8200 to Rs 10200 and the new rates of TA-DA will be applicable from July 1, 2025.

There is good news for the employees of Tata Steel. After the agreement between the company and the union, the rates of Leave Travel Concession (LTC), Travel and Daily Allowance (TA-DA) have been increased from 8000 to 10000. Which will be effective from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2027. Earlier, TA-DA was reviewed and revised on 1 September 2017.

In the new agreement, the LTC of all employees has been made the same. Now all employees will get LTC of Rs 46,800. LTC has been increased by a minimum of Rs 8,200 and a maximum of Rs 10,200. Apart from Tata Steel’s Jamshedpur plant, about 18 thousand employees of Kalinganagar and Meramandali will get the benefit of the agreement.

Now 46800 will be given as LTC

Under the agreement, now employees of all grades will get LTC of Rs 46,800. Earlier this amount was Rs 38,600, that is, it has been increased by Rs 8,200. Employees who used to get Rs 36,600 as LTC till now will also be given Rs 46,800 now. Employees of this category will get the benefit of Rs 10,200. The arrears of LTC from January 2024 to May 2025 will be fixed in the month of June and will be paid to the employees along with the salary of July. For LTC, employees will have to take at least 3 PL.

Increase in DA-TA also

  • The company has increased the travel allowance of the employees i.e. TA-DA. The new rates will come into effect from July 1, 2025. Now if an employee goes to big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata or Chennai for company work, he will get Rs 4,500 instead of Rs 3,000 per day for lodging i.e. accommodation expenses and Rs 1,000 instead of Rs 700 earlier for food.
  • If an employee stays at a relative’s or friends’ place, he will also get Rs 1,000 per day.
  • Employees going to work in state capitals and other major cities will now get Rs 3,500 per day for lodging, whereas earlier it was Rs 2,500. Rs 1,000 will be given instead of Rs 700 for food and accommodation at relatives’ place.
  • Allowances have also been increased for small cities. Under this, instead of 2,000, the accommodation will be Rs. 3,000 and the food allowance will be Rs. 750 instead of Rs. 500. If an employee stays at a relative’s or friend’s place in a small town, he will also get Rs. 750.
  • Employees will now get Rs. 750 per day instead of Rs. 500 during travel as well. The fare per kilometer for traveling by car will now be Rs. 20 instead of Rs. 15. Rs. 50 will be given instead of Rs. 35 for porter or loading charge for carrying luggage.
