7th Pay commission: Central government employees are also demanding to increase the fitment factor from 2.57 percent to 3.68 percent.
The 7th pay commission employees of the central government are likely to get the good news of increment once again. After the increase in Dearness Allowance (DA), HRA and TA during Diwali gifts from the Central Government, now they are likely to get another bumper salary hike in the new year.
According to a report, the central government is considering increasing the fitment factor. Due to which the minimum wage or basic pay of central government employees will increase as per the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission. Central government employees are also demanding to increase the fitment factor from 2.57 per cent to 3.68 per cent.
Now the government can take a final decision in this regard before the presentation of the Union Budget 2022. If the fitment factor of central employees is increased, then it will not only increase the salary of the central government employees, but will also increase their minimum salary.
Significantly, central employees are getting a fitment factor of 2.57 per cent. Due to which his basic salary is Rs 18,000. However, if the government gives a green signal to the proposed 3.68 per cent fitment factor, the basic pay of central employees will increase by Rs 8000 to Rs 26,000.
