Central Government Employees: Before Diwali, good news can come for the central employees and pensioners. At the same time, private sector employees are going to get benefits.

Central Government Employees: Central employees are continuously getting good gifts this year. Now the news is that till Diwali, the central employees will get 3 more gifts. First, their dearness allowance may increase once again. Any result can come out in talks with the government on the second DA arrears. However, the government is not in favor of giving arrears. Apart from this, the Provident fund interest rate will also be credited to the accounts till Diwali. Private sector employees will also get the benefit of EPF interest.

DA, DR will increase
Even before Diwali, the government can also give the benefit of dearness allowance (DA) to central employees and dearness relief (DR) to pensioners. In fact, in July, the dearness allowance (18 Months DA), which had been stopped for the last one and a half years, was re-released. Central employees are being paid at the rate of 28 per cent at present. But, the DA of June 2021 is yet to be announced. If sources are to be believed, the government can announce it before Diwali. If this happens, the employees will get DA at the rate of 31 percent. At the same time, the DR of pensioners will also reach 31 percent.

Demand for DA arrears too

Central employees are happy that their dearness allowance has reached 28 percent. The DA, which was frozen in May 2020, was reinstated from July. But, in the meantime, the DA Arrear of one and a half year was not given. This is a pretty hefty amount. The government had clarified in the Rajya Sabha that dearness allowance for one and a half years was frozen. In such a situation, arrear payment will not be made. From July, dearness allowance is being given with increased rates.

PF interest money will come

EPFO declares interest on PF amount for every financial year. In the current financial year, it has been decided to pay interest at the rate of 8.5 percent. This will greatly benefit the employed people. The Central Board of EPFO has approved the increase in interest. Now the approval of the Finance Ministry is awaited.
