The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited applications for selectors of men’s, women’s and junior teams. These recruitments are for prestigious and responsible posts, on which those selected will also get attractive salaries.
For which posts are the vacancies?
-BCCI has invited applications for three different selection committees:
- -2 national selectors for the senior men’s team
- -4 selectors for the women’s cricket team (only women)
- -1 selector for the junior men’s team
What should be the qualification?
For Senior Men’s Team:
- -Candidates must fulfil any one of these criteria:
- -Must have played at least 7 Test matches for India
- -Or 30 First Class matches
- -Or 10 One Day Internationals and 20 First Class matches experience
For the post of selector of the women’s team:
- – The woman player must have retired from international cricket at least 5 years ago
- – Should not have been a member of any selection committee in the last 5 years
Selector for Junior team:
- -Must have experience of 25 first class matches
- -Should not have been a member of any selection committee in the last 5 years
- -Should have retired at least 5 years ago
Selection Process and Salary:
Selected candidates will get an annual salary of Rs lakhs by BCCI. After screening and shortlisting the applicants will be called for interview. Selection will be through fair and merit based process.
