Gold Silver Rate Today: Gold and silver prices have surged in the domestic commodity market. This surge is being attributed to strong spot demand and rising geopolitical tensions. By 10:45 am, the price of 24-carat gold rose by ₹466 to ₹1,38,570 per 10 grams. In December, gold had touched a record high of ₹1,40,465, but after a strong performance in 2025, profit-booking has now brought prices down to around ₹1,38,500. Meanwhile, silver prices are also continuing their upward trend. Silver on the MCX rose 1.41 percent to ₹2,49,600 per kilogram.
International Markets Also Rising
International markets have also seen a rise in silver prices, rising 5.2 percent to $76.37 per ounce. In 2025, silver delivered a robust 147 percent return.
Gold prices in major cities across the country
According to Good Returns, 24-carat gold is trading at ₹1,39,970 per 10 grams in Chennai, and 22-carat gold at ₹1,28,300 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,38,820 and 22-carat gold at ₹1,27,250 per 10 grams. In Delhi, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,38,970, while 22-carat gold was trading at ₹1,27,400 per 10 grams. In Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kerala, and Pune, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,38,820 and 22-carat gold at ₹1,27,250 per 10 grams. Whereas in Vadodara and Ahmedabad, 24 carat gold was trading at Rs 1,38,870 and 22 carat gold was trading at Rs 1,27,300 per 10 grams.
