Gold Price Today: While the price of gold is soft today, a big drop is being recorded in the rate of silver. Today, on Wednesday, 2 July, 24 carat gold has become cheaper by Rs 173 per 10 grams and opened at Rs 97257. It has crossed one lakh rupees per 10 grams including GST. There is a big drop of Rs 1063 in the price of silver and it has come down to Rs 105900 per kg. While 24 carat gold is selling at the rate of Rs 100174 per 10 grams with GST, silver is selling at Rs 109077 per kg.
Gold prices without GST
According to IBJA rates, 23 carat gold also fell by Rs 172 to open at Rs 96868 per 10 grams. At the same time, the average spot price of 22 carat gold fell by Rs 159 to open at Rs 89087 per 10 grams. The price of 18 carat gold also became cheaper by Rs 130 and is at Rs 72943 per 10 grams. Whereas, the price of 14 carat gold has weakened by Rs 102 to reach Rs 56895 per 10 grams. GST and making charge are not included in this.
The spot prices of gold and silver have been released by India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA). GST is not applicable in these. It is possible that there is a difference of Rs 1000 to Rs 2000 in your city. IBJA releases the rate twice a day. Once around 12 noon and second around 5 pm.
How much did the price of gold and silver increase this year
This year gold has become expensive by about Rs 21517 and silver by Rs 19883 in the bullion markets. On 31 December 24, gold opened at Rs 76045 per 10 and silver at Rs 85680 per kg. On this day gold closed at Rs 75740. Silver also closed at Rs 86017 per kg. Whereas, in June alone, while the price of gold jumped by Rs 2103, silver jumped by Rs 9624.
