Whereas, silver opened at Rs 94954 per kg, falling by Rs 801. The rates of bullion market have been released by India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), in which GST is not levied. Gold and silver prices fell after Operation Sindoor
India destroyed the terror bases running in Pakistan through Operation Sindoor on the night of May 6. On May 7, gold opened at Rs 99493 per 10 grams in the bullion markets and silver opened at Rs 96133 per kg. Four days later, ceasefire happened and during this time huge fluctuations were seen in the prices of gold and silver. Since then, gold has become cheaper by Rs 4435. Whereas, the price of silver has fallen by Rs 1179.
What is the price with GST
With 3 percent GST, today gold is being sold at Rs 95849 per 10 grams and silver at Rs 97802 per kg. Gold has become cheaper by Rs 6042 from its all-time high in the bullion markets. On April 22, 2025, gold was at an all-time high of Rs 99100 per 10 grams.
According to IBJA rates, 23 carat gold also became cheaper by Rs 724 today and opened at Rs 92685 per 10 grams. At the same time, the average spot price of 22 carat gold fell by Rs 666 around 12:15 pm and opened at Rs 85241 per 10 grams. The price of 18 carat gold has also come down by Rs 545 to Rs 70339 per 10 grams. Whereas, the price of 14 carat gold has weakened by Rs 425 to Rs 54439.
This year gold has become expensive by about Rs 17318 and silver by Rs 8937. On 31 December 24, gold opened at a rate of Rs 76045 per 10 and silver at Rs 85680 per kg. On this day, gold closed at Rs 75740. Silver also closed at Rs 86017 per kg.
