Buying gold and silver on Diwali and Dhanteras is considered auspicious. As these festivals approach, demand for them is also increasing, leading to record jumps in gold and silver prices.
On Friday, gold reached ₹1.31 lakh per 10 grams on MCX, while silver is nearing ₹1.70 lakh per kg. Meanwhile, Mukesh Ambani’s company Jio Financial Services has launched an offer on gold purchases.
Jio Financial Services has announced Jio Gold 24K Days, a limited-time offer offering guaranteed rewards and prizes for digital gold purchases made through JioFinance or the MyJio app. This offer is valid from October 18 to 23, 2025. Under this offer, customers can purchase 24K pure gold online, anytime, anywhere, without waiting for the traditional auspicious time at physical stores.
Customers purchasing digital gold
worth ₹2,000 or more during the offer period will receive 2% additional free gold, which will be credited to their Gold Wallet within 72 hours. Additionally, those purchasing gold worth ₹20,000 or more will automatically qualify for the Jio Gold Mega Prize Draw, which includes prizes totaling ₹10 lakh.
The prize pool of ₹10 lakh includes a smartphone, smart TV, gold coins, a mixer grinder, and shopping vouchers. Winners will be selected through a transparent draw and announced via email and SMS notifications on October 27, 2025.
PhonePe is also offering an offer
Digital payments giant PhonePe has introduced a special offer of 2% cashback (up to Rs 2,000) for users purchasing 24-carat digital gold worth Rs 2,000 or more through the app. This one-day offer will be valid between 12:00 am and 11:59 pm on October 18, 2025 and can be availed once per user.
To claim cashback, users simply need to open the PhonePe app, select Digital Gold, select an amount of ₹2,000 or more, and complete the transaction. Cashback will be automatically credited, subject to the app’s terms and conditions.
