GATE 2026 exam schedule released, exam to begin from this date

There’s good news for candidates applying for the GATE 2026 exam. The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, has released the exam schedule for GATE 2026.

The GATE 2026 exam schedule has been released on the official website. Candidates appearing for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2026 (GATE 2026) can check and download the schedule by visiting the official IIT GATE website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The application correction window has been reopened.

When will the GATE 2026 exam be held? 

• The GATE 2026 exam will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. The exam will be conducted in two shifts: the first shift will be from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and the second shift will be from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. 
• The exam will be conducted in CBT mode. The exam duration is 3 hours and consists of 30 test papers.

Till when can I make corrections in the application?

Candidates wishing to make corrections in their applications can do so till November 18, 2025, till 11:59 PM.

How to make corrections

Candidates can make corrections in their application through the steps given below. 

• First of all candidates have to visit the official website. 
• After this, candidates have to click on the GATE 2026 registration link available on the homepage.
• Now enter the login details and your application form will be displayed.
• After this make corrections in the application form and click on submit.
• After this download the revised application form.
• Lastly, keep a hard copy of it with you for further need.
