Keep dates flexible

Keep flexible dates for ravelling around Diwali. That is, you should not choose to travel on the same date. For example, flights are often cheaper on working days like Tuesday or Wednesday as compared to Friday and Sunday.

Choose off-peak hours

Choose early morning or late night flights as they are more economical.

Be flexible with airports

Be flexible based on the airport as well. This also makes the flight ticket cheaper. Check if there is an airport nearby that can give you a cheaper ticket.

Select a connected flight ticket

Consider connecting flights rather than direct flights, as they can sometimes be cheaper.

Book in advance

The sooner you book, the greater the chances of getting a flight ticket. It is believed that booking at least 45-60 days in advance can give you good savings. Apart from this, you can also save by choosing a budget airline.
