PF Complaint Online: If you have an account with the Provident Fund Organization and there is a complaint related to it, then you can get a solution by filing a complaint online.


EPFO has started online facility for complaints of its members. If an EPF account holder has any complaint related to EPF withdrawal, transfer of EPF account, KYC etc., then he can register a complaint through this Grievance Management System. Apart from this, you can also put about the complaint or any information on the EPFO’s Twitter handle @socialepfo.

You can also register your complaint by visiting EPFO’s online portal epfigms.gov.in. EPFO has shared an information related to filing a complaint on its Twitter account. You can also register a complaint by visiting the toll free number 1800-118-005. You can lodge a complaint with the Grievance Management System of EPFO.

If an account holder has any complaint related to his PF account such as PF transfer, EPF withdrawal, EPF account or KYC etc., then you can get it resolved by registering online.

How to complain

  • First of all go to the portal epfigms.gov.in.
  • Click on ‘Register Grievance’ to register the complaint.
  • A new webpage will open in front of you. In this, select the status in which the complaint is being registered.
  • Status means PF member, EPS pensioner, Employer or other.
  • Select the option ‘Others’ only if you do not have UAN/Pension Payment Order (PPO).
  • Select the status of ‘PF member’ for PF account related complaint.
  • Now enter UAN and security code and click on ‘Get Details’.
  • The masked (hidden) personal details linked to the UNN will be displayed on the computer screen.
  • Now click on ‘Get OTP’.
  • One time password will be sent to your registered mobile number and email id in EPFO ​​database.
  • After entering the OTP, verification will happen and then you will be asked for personal details.
  • After entering the personal details, click on the PF number in respect of which the complaint has to be lodged.
  • Now a pop-up will appear on the screen. In this, select the radio button to which your complaint is related.
  • Select the Grievance category and give the details of your complaint.
  • If you have any proofs then they can be uploaded.
  • Once the complaint is registered, click on ‘Add’ and click on submit.
  • Your complaint will be registered.
  • Complaint registration number will come on your registered email and mobile number.

Check complaint status like this

After registering a complaint with EPFO, you can also track its status. For this, you have to go to the portal of EPAO, epfigms.gov.in. Here select the option ‘view status’. Enter complaint registration number and mobile number/email id and security code. Now the complaint status will appear on the computer screen. It will also show which regional office of EPFO ​​is working on your complaint and the name of the officer will also come. If want to contact the regional EPFO ​​office, the email address and phone number will be displayed on the screen.
