Digital Life Certificate for Pensioners: The government has provided a special facility for pensioners over the age of 80. Now, both banks and post offices are offering doorstep service, allowing the submission of digital life certificates.

This will save the elderly the hassle of waiting in line, and their pension will be credited to their accounts on time. The government has launched the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 4.0, enabling pensioners across the country to easily submit their life certificates from the comfort of their homes. This facility brings relief, especially to elderly and disabled pensioners. Pensioners will no longer need to stand in lines at banks or offices.

The goal of this campaign is to reach more than 20 million pensioners with this digital facility. The government says that this campaign is being implemented in more than 2,000 cities and towns across the country, so that digital empowerment can reach every pensioner.

Dr. Jitendra Singh launched the nationwide campaign

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh will attend the SBI Mega Camp being held at the NDMC Convention Center in New Delhi on Monday. He will interact with pensioners who are submitting digital life certificates through face authentication. Several agencies, including the State Bank of India (SBI), India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), UIDAI, and NIC, are participating in the program.

Dr. Jitendra Singh said that this campaign is a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India vision, which aims to simplify the pension process for senior citizens of the country.

Now there is no need to stand in long queues at the bank.

Previously, pensioners had to visit a bank or government office every year to submit a physical life certificate. However, the government has now made it completely digital. You can now complete this task in just a few minutes using the Jeevan Pramaan app on your mobile phone or laptop.

Simply download the app, perform face or fingerprint verification with Aadhaar, and submit the certificate. Upon submission, you’ll receive a download link along with a Certificate ID and PPO number.

Special facility for super senior and disabled pensioners

The government has provided a special facility for pensioners over the age of 80. Both banks and post offices now offer doorstep services, allowing the submission of digital life certificates at home. This will save seniors the hassle of waiting in line, and ensure their pension is credited to their accounts on time.

India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) agents are also providing this service at doorsteps, which will provide relief to super senior citizens and disabled pensioners.

EPFO also simplified the process

The EPFO ​​has also simplified the process of submitting digital life certificates for pensioners. Now, EPFO ​​members can submit certificates directly by scanning their faces on their mobile phones. This feature is especially helpful for those who cannot leave their homes.

How to submit digital life certificate from home

If you want to submit your life certificate from home, all you need is a smartphone and internet. You need to follow these steps:

  •  Download Aadhaar Face RD App and Jeevan Pramaan App.
  •  Go to the Face RD app and scan your face.
  •  Enter Aadhaar number and mobile number in Jeevan Pramaan App and verify with OTP.
  •  Click a photo from the camera and submit it.
  •   Within a few minutes you will receive a certificate submission message and download link.

Government’s goal: Digital access to every pensioner

The government says this initiative is aligned with the Digital India and Ease of Living Missions. It will provide convenience to pensioners, increase transparency, and reduce the time required for the pension distribution process. The government’s goal is to make this facility accessible to every pensioner in the country, so that no one is deprived of their pension simply because they cannot access a bank.
