Pensioners no longer need to visit the bank for a life certificate. With the Digital Life Certificate 2025, elderly and disabled pensioners can secure their pensions from the comfort of their homes and save time.

The central government has launched the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 4.0 across the country. The campaign will run from November 1 to November 30, 2025, and will be conducted in approximately 1,600 districts and subdivision head offices. This initiative aims to simplify the pension process for pensioners, especially the elderly and those with disabilities. Senior pensioners can now submit their life certificates from the comfort of their homes using their mobile phones, eliminating the need to visit a bank or pension office. Submitting a digital life certificate is a very easy, fast, and secure process. The government has used face authentication technology, allowing pensioners to continue receiving their pensions without any hassle.

Easy Digital Life Certificate Option for Senior Pensioners

Super senior pensioners (above 80 years of age) can now submit Digital Life Certificates (DLCs) starting October 2025. The government has directed banks to implement this feature from October, ensuring no disruptions to the pensions of these senior pensioners. This means that super senior pensioners can submit their life certificates from the comfort of their homes, without visiting the bank. This will ensure timely disbursement of their pensions, eliminating the need for frequent bank visits. This step has been taken specifically for the convenience and safety of the elderly.

Government and banking cooperation

To make this Digital Life Certificate (DLC) campaign a success, the government has collaborated with pension disbursing banks and the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB). Additionally, a doorstep service is available for elderly and disabled pensioners. This means pensioners don’t need to leave their homes. Officials or operators will come directly to their homes to assist them with submitting their life certificates. This facility is especially convenient and secure for those who find it difficult to visit a bank to collect their pension.
