Delhi Metro News: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has made some changes in the timings of Metro services for Diwali. These changes will come into effect on October 19 and 20, 2025.
As New Delhi is lit up with Diwali lights, Delhi Metro will also be in a festive mood. If you are planning to return home late this festival, be careful, as the last metro ride will leave an hour earlier. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has made special changes to its timings to accommodate the Diwali rush and festive spirit.
On the eve of Diwali, i.e. October 19 (Sunday), Metro services on Pink, Magenta and Grey lines will start at 6 am instead of 7 am, meaning people will get access to the Metro an hour earlier to facilitate festive shopping and travel.
Delhi Metro Diwali Timetable
On Diwali day, October 20 (Monday), the last Metro service on all lines will depart from the terminal stations at 10 pm. This includes the Airport Express Line. Normally, the last Metro service runs at 11 pm, but on Diwali day, it will close an hour earlier. DMRC has appealed to passengers to keep these changes in mind while planning their journey to avoid any inconvenience. Except on October 19 and 20, Metro services will operate on their regular schedule on Diwali day.
