The Indian Postal Department has launched the Dak Seva 2.0 app to modernize and speed up its services. This app allows postal work to be done from the comfort of your home using your mobile phone.
Android smartphone users can download it from the Google Play Store, and iPhone users can download it from the Apple App Store.
With the Postal Department’s app, you can track your parcels and money orders. You can also use it to calculate postage, book mail, generate e-receipts, and file complaints, among other tasks. The app supports 23 languages, including Hindi, English, Dogri, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Urdu, Konkani, Maithili, and Bengali. You’ll see a language icon in the right corner of the app. By clicking on it, you can select any language of your choice and make it the app’s default language.
Additionally, the app features a dark mode, making it easier to use at night. You can activate this mode using the first icon in the upper-right corner of the app. A search bar is provided to search for any service. Simply type in the desired search bar and you’ll instantly receive information.
Facility to lodge a complaint
If you have a complaint about any service, you can register it through this app. You can register any complaint related to the post office, parcels, or transactions through the app. You can also track the complaint. After opening the app, you can call a toll-free number to report your problem, 18002666868. Or you can chat with an online assistant through the app.
Postal department going digital
The Postal Department is also rapidly digitizing itself. UPI and dynamic code services have been launched at post office counters. This application, launched by the Postal Department, will further modernize and enhance postal services. More than one lakh people have downloaded this app from the Google Play Store, and its popularity is growing.
