DA Hike 2025: These states gave Diwali gift to employees, hike in dearness allowance

DA Hike 2025: Good news has come for the government employees in the festive season. Many state governments have become kind to their government employees.

On the occasion of Diwali, the governments of Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh have made a huge increase in dearness allowance. This has brought great relief to the government employees. Himachal Pradesh government has announced a 3% DA hike for employees and pensioners. This announcement will benefit 1.91 lakh employees and 1.71 lakh pensioners. The state government employees will benefit from a minimum of Rs 800 per month to Rs 8 thousand for the Chief Secretary.

The government of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has also announced a three percent DA increase for state employees and pensioners before Diwali. It has also been decided to release the arrears from April to September to employees before Diwali. Employees are delighted with this government decree. Sanjeev Sharma, president of the Himachal Pradesh Secretariat Services Employees Association, said, “We welcome the three percent DA increase for state employees. With the DA, state employees and pensioners will be able to celebrate the festival happily.”

Dhami government gave a gift in Uttarakhand

The Dhami government in Uttarakhand has made a difference for more than 250,000 government employees in the state. The Dhami government has increased the dearness allowance of Uttarakhand employees by 3 percent. This will be effective from July 1, 2025. With this increase, the dearness allowance of Uttarakhand government employees has increased from 55 percent to 58 percent. Arrears due by October 31 will be credited to employees’ accounts before Diwali.

Hemant Soren government increased DA in Jharkhand

The Hemant Soren government in Jharkhand has also given Diwali and Chhath gifts to all government employees and pensioners in the state. The government has increased the DA by 3% to 58%. Previously, employees received 55% DA.

DA-DR increased by 2% in Madhya Pradesh

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s cabinet announced a two percent increase in DA and DR for state employees and pensioners. The state government also decided to create a “Shri Anna Federation” to promote Shree Anna (coarse grains).
