Credit Card Rules Changed: HDFC Bank has changed the rules related to credit cards. Now domestic lounge access facility will be based on milestones. The new policy will come into effect in June.
Credit Card Rules Changed: The country’s largest private bank “HDFC Bank” has made a big announcement regarding credit cards (Credit Card Rules). Changes have been made in the rules related to Tata New Infinity and Tata New Plus credit cards, which will affect the cardholders. Now users will have to spend the prescribed amount to avail domestic lounge access.
Under the new rules, now users cannot directly access domestic lounges by swiping these two credit cards. This facility will be based on milestones. The bank will issue airport lounge vouchers on quarterly spending milestones. The new policy will come into effect from June 10, 2025. Cardholders can avail domestic lounges till June 9. Let us tell you that every year 8 i.e. 2 free domestic lounge access is available in the quarter. A fee of Rs 2 is charged for this.
Lounge voucher will be available on spending Rs 50,000
After the new rules come into force, to get domestic lounge access voucher, one has to spend Rs 50,000 or more in this calendar quarter. User can avail 2 complimentary domestic lounge vouchers per calendar quarter. SMS and email will be sent to eligible users. A link will also be available in it. Lounge voucher can be claimed within 120 days after logging in using the registered mobile number. The voucher can be used within 180 days in the eligible lounge list.
New rules for international lounge will be applicable from June 1
HDFC Bank has changed the rules related to Tata New Infinity Credit Card-Visa, which will be applicable from June 1. Priority Pass on this credit card will be issued only on request basis. If a new/renewed/replacement card has been issued to any person, then he can avail international lounge access as per the product facility benefits.
How to check eligibility for domestic lounge access
First of all, log in to HDFC Bank NetBanking or Mobile Banking app. Go to the Credit Card section and select “Tata New Credit Card” option. Click on Redeem Reward Points. Go to “MyReward” option and spend the promo details.
