COVID-19 Impact: Schools will not open in Mumbai this year, schools and colleges are opening in Maharashtra from this day

Due to Corona virus BMC has decided to keep all schools in Mumbai closed till 31 December 2020.
The most affected by the Corona Virus epidemic will not open in Il Sal School in Mumbai. BMC has decided to keep the schools closed in Mumbai till December 31, 2020. However, except Mumbai, schools and colleges across Maharashtra can open from 23 November. Preparations for opening schools in Maharashtra from 9th to 12th have started with great vigor. On behalf of the Education Department, a letter has been directed to all district magistrates to conduct a free corona check of teachers by 22 November.

All teaching and non-teaching staff must compulsorily undergo RT-PCR test before coming to school. At the same time, students have to take written permission from their parents to come to school. Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad said that the class would go through alternate days and only one student would sit on a bench in the school. Let me tell you that Maharashtra is the worst affected state of Corona and so far there have been 17,63,055 cases of Kovid-19 in which 46,356 people have died. The number of active cases in the state is 79,738.

Schools will also be closed in Gujarat

Earlier, Gujarat had also ordered schools to be reopened from 23 November, but the government had to withdraw the decision due to the growing Corona infection. The date of when schools will open in Gujarat has not been announced yet. The Gujarat government has withdrawn its decision to open schools and colleges. Apart from Gujarat and Maharashtra, the capital Delhi and Odisha will also not have schools this year.
