Not only this, the number of monthly installments for loan repayment has been increased from 70 to 120. That is, if you take Rs 4 lakh under a student credit card in Bihar, you will get a full 10 years to repay it and you will not have to pay any interest.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has made another important announcement regarding the students of Bihar. Under the Student Credit Card Scheme, now the amount up to Rs four lakh will be completely interest free. The government has not only waived off the interest but has also increased the number of installments from 70 to 120.
This means that students will now have to repay the loan taken through easy installments over 10 years.
