Haryana Lakshmi Lado Yojana: Chandigarh government approved ‘Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana’, women will get Rs 2100 every month from September 25, 2025, annual income limit has been fixed at Rs 1 lakh.
The state government has taken a big decision with the aim of empowering women economically. In the cabinet meeting held today, approval has been given to implement ‘Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana’. This scheme will be implemented in the state from 25 September 2025. Under the scheme, women will be provided financial assistance of Rs 2100 every month. In the first phase, the benefit of this scheme will be given to those women whose family’s annual income is up to Rs one lakh. It will include both married and unmarried women.
The government has also clarified that to avail the benefits of this scheme, it is mandatory for the woman or her husband to have resided in the state for at least 15 years. The administration says that this scheme will prove to be a milestone in making women self-reliant and ensuring their active participation in society.
After the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said in a press conference today that the cabinet meeting was called for only one agenda the very next day after the assembly session ended. In the meeting, ‘Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana’ was approved keeping in mind the social security and respect of women. The Chief Minister said that the double engine government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously running welfare schemes in the interest of the poor and the needy.
He said that Prime Minister Modi has underlined the important role of women in the four pillars of developed India. The central government is constantly implementing new schemes to empower women and the Haryana government is also working in the same direction. He said that his government considers the Sankalp Patra issued during the assembly elections as equivalent to the Gita and steps are being taken continuously to fulfill all the promises made in it.
This scheme will be launched from 25 September 2025
Key features of the scheme:
- In the first phase, those families have been included whose annual income is up to Rs 1 lakh.
- In the coming time, other income groups will also be included in a phased manner.
- To avail the benefit, the unmarried woman or the husband of a married woman must be a native resident of Haryana for 15 years.
- There will be no restriction on the number of women in a family. If there are 3 women in a family, all three will get the benefit.
- In 9 such schemes already being run by the government, in which the applicant is getting higher pension, she will not get the benefit of this scheme.
- Cancer stage-3 and 4 patients, women suffering from 54 rare diseases, hemophilia, thalassemia and sickle cell will get the benefit of this scheme in addition to the pension they are already receiving.
- On completing the age of 45 years, an unmarried woman will automatically become eligible for the Widow/Destitute Women Pension Scheme.
- On completion of 60 years of age, the beneficiary woman will become eligible for old age pension scheme.
