CBSE Board Supplementary Exam Date has been revealed. Exam for class 10th and 12th will be held in July. Registration process will start soon. Let’s know who is eligible for this?
A big update has come out for the students who are dissatisfied with the marks obtained in the board exam. Supplementary exam date has been announced. Central Board of Secondary Education will soon release the subject wise date sheet of compartment exam on the official website. Students are advised to visit the official website www.cbse.gov regularly for updates.
Supplementary examination for class 10th and 12th will start from 16 July 2025. It will include all major subjects. The results will be released in August 2025. Admit cards for regular and private students will be issued in the first week of July. At the same time, the application process will continue from 15 to 30 June. The prescribed fee will also have to be paid. Let us tell you that the last 10th and 12th supplementary examinations started from 15 July 2024. The 10th exam lasted only one day.
Eligibility for supplementary examination
CBSE conducts compartment examination in every case. Students who fail in the main examination held in February-April get a chance to improve their performance. So that they can qualify to appear in competitive examinations. Some conditions also apply for this. If a student is unable to pass in one or two subjects, then he gets a chance to improve the marks. Apart from this, students who have passed in all the subjects can also apply to improve the marks. Students who fail in more than two subjects will not be allowed to appear in it.
So many students included in supplementary examination category
CBSE class 10th board examination was conducted from 15 February to 18 March 2025. At the same time, the 12th examination continued till 4 April. More than 40 lakh students appeared in it. This year, 141353 students of class 10th have been placed in the compartment exam category for full subjects. Whereas, 129095 students of class 12th have been placed in the supplementary exam category.
