What has been said in the CBDT circular
In the circular issued by the CBDT on Monday, it was directed that the ITRs filed through electronic means till March 31, 2024, which were invalidated by mistake, can now be processed. Information about all these returns will be sent to the taxpayers by March 31, 2026.
This decision will help taxpayers get refunds with interest. Let us tell you, it has been clarified in the issued circular that if the PAN card is not linked to the Aadhaar card, then they will not be refunded.
CBDT has directed all the parties on this issue to work according to the circular.
Central Board of Direct Taxes issues Circular 10/2025, providing relaxation of time limit for the processing of electronically filed income tax returns.
